Voting in the Newcastle City Youth Council Elections is well underway at JPA this morning! What is the Youth Council? The Youth Council gives local young people a voice by representing their views to decision-makers and campaigning on issues that matter to them. It also offers members the opportunity to stand for election to the UK Youth Parliament, ensuring their perspectives are heard at a national level.

View PostA Level students at Jesmond Park Academy took part in a study morning on Tuesday 3rd of March. Speakers from Newcastle University delivered literature lectures on 'A Streetcar Named Desire' (Dr Ros Haslett), 'Othello' (Dr Ruth Connolly) and 'The Little Stranger'/'The Picture of Dorian Gray' (Dr Stacy Gillis). A Level English Language students also enjoyed a session on language change which was delivered by Dr Beth Cole. The aim of the morning was to offer students a deeper insight into the texts and topics studied at A Level as well as giving them a taste of learning at undergraduate level.
